Service Dog Training

Offering basic, intermediate and advanced obedience.

We go to great lengths to interview the handler to determine what tasks need to be taught to mitigate your medical needs. Our main focal point is to improve your quality of life.

Scent Training. We offer specific SD candidates the basics in scent training We generalize the training. Teach the dog the rudiments of using their nose. We utilize more than one scent. Teaching the dog how to do it. You can finalize the training to a specific scent, or we can do that for you.

ESD. Emotional Support Dog is task trained to your specific ES need.

We offer two types of programs. Owner/Handler assistance and Facility trained dogs.

Owner/Handler is one on one training with our Instructors to help you get a good solid obedience foundation. With this foundation we can start to build on individual tasks that will help with day to day living both inside and outside of your home. This program is offered to puppies/dogs of our own breeding or one that you choose from elsewhere.

Facility Training. This program is offered to puppies/dogs of our own breeding or one that you choose from elsewhere and has been temperament tested. Either way the dog comes to our facility for a specific period of time to be trained. The period of time will depend on many factors such as age of dog, level of current training and end goals. We transition all dogs to you as their handler once we are satisfied with its level of training.

Why I don’t have waitlists: they stess me out!

I would rather train up a dog, develop the personality then find the perfect handler. no one waiting for months on end for a dog to be finished. I have the space a time to do it this way.

Smokey

is available

One of 3 successfully tested puppies from our latest Ember litter.

Smokey is fast approaching 4 months. She is rocking her training. I think her favorite is deep pressure therapy. She is learning all the necessary skills to be successful in helping an individual with mental illness.

I also have her sister Kindle and brother Coal in the same program.

they beauties will be trained in our program until they are ready for a handler. If you want to enlist their aid then send us a message.

We use candidates from our own breeding programs. We are Blackrose Kennels, a registered CKC breeder. We own the sire and dam, of our current litters and have worked with them giving us a better understanding of personalities, traits and capabilities. All of our breeding age dogs have CKC titles and continue to work towards higher achievements. Upon occasion we use an outside sire. In this instance we ensure he meets all our health and title requirements before breeding.

Labrador puppies available. Puppies have first shots, microchipped, CKC registered, dewormed, ENS, puppy culture protocols, socialized, potty, crate, treat (clicker) trained. All puppies come from health tested parents and are clear by parentage. Both sire and dam have OFA hips, and elbows certified. Our puppies come with health guarantees.

All of our puppies are temperament tested. Although this does not guarantee a future outcome, it does offer a great start for success. These puppies are available as (future) Owner trained or available on training contract. Feel free to contact us to get on this list or a future litter list.

Teddy a Hero

One of the males born to our Archer and Ember litter last November has been placed with his new handler. Teddy had the opportunity to learn how to attend his new handler for psychiatric issues. Teddy learned how to do deep pressure therapy, block, circle, tuck, touch. His handler has informed us that Teddy , all on his own, has alerted to some medic issues the handler is experiencing.

WAY TO GO TEDDY!!

In less than 60 days in his new home, Teddy alerted his handler in a most un-Teddy-like manner. His handler quickly interpreted his meaning and managed to save her daughter’s life.

It was the most frightening phone call I have ever received.

Savannah

is looking for a pet home. She has the skills of a service dog with all the training but too many new places frightens her. She would love to snuggle up and offer all that a well trained ESA could offer.

14 months old and ready to go.

love this girl
